Duplicate username problem

I am creating a registration system and have came across the problem of duplicate usernames.

I am using full names as usernames for logging in.

When trying to login in, it only chooses the first instance of the username in the database and not the others, meaning it

Is there a solution for this already posted or has anyone solved this before?
